I'm testing out a flash player for the blog by LongTail Video called the JW FLV Media Player. The original CAforNoobs.wmv file was converted by EasyFLV Free FLV Converter.

This movie by Fox from TOG (theoldergamers.com) is a newbies guide to Combat Arms. The original higher res version will be available for download from this site soon.





I'll be playing around with this software quite a bit trying to ustilise the flashvars.

TOG Fox and I have been playing a bit of SWAT 4 lately, Specifically the Sheriff's Special Forces mod v3.1 for The Stetchkov Syndicate expansion pack. As you can see from this quick video put together by Fox we would both be in jail by now if we were real SWAT 4 guys lol.

I'm the one in view because Fox was filming using Fraps.

LOL moments were at the 20 and 40 second marks with me punching the suspect in the back of the head after he taunted me and later when Fox twitched after hearing the sound of my taser only to shot and kill a subdued suspect =]

Many of you know my server hasn't had a dedicated connection for quite some time due to moving house and other interuptions. Well, it looks like I'll be setup again soon connection wise... maybe 2-3 weeks. In the meantime only certain games can be played on it online.

I'm looking forward to stress testing my server upgrade :)

I've combined the downloads and extras sections together. Now you can find gaming info, links and downloads on the one page. I'm still slowly progressing through the old forum and transferring everything over to the blog. Hopefully I'll finish it all soon.


SERVER

Most of you know my server has been offline (not it's own dedicated connection) since I moved house. While offline I decided format the drive. I also had an opportunity to upgrade it.

My old system:

ABIT NF7-S2G
AMD Athlon XP 3000+
Kingston RAM 1GB

New server thanks to my brother upgrading:

Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+
Veritech RAM 2GB

I'm hoping to have a dedicated connection for the server in the next few weeks.

Well there I was surfing the net for all things gaming on one of my machines when FREEZE!!

*comp freezes
*restart comp
*send error report
*microsoft tells me hard drive failing, back up data asap
*i said to myself in true Australlian style "she'll be right, will do that soon"
*two days later hard drive fails ;p


Sooooo, projects etc are on hold again until i sort this out. I have my good mate BRENNY HAX on the job to recover as much as he can from the drive and rebuild my system. In the meantime I have no email either. All should be good within a week :)
